A UGC Junior Research Fellow, she holds a BA (Hons), MA, and PhD from Punjab University, and a Master’s in Public Administration from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Singapore.

She was awarded the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration for her exemplary work in implementing the MGNREGA scheme.
